I know what it feels like to finally find something that quiets the hunger, lowers the food noise, and helps the scale move—and then have your health change the plan. My GLP-1 experience included real benefits, but it also included serious side effects. With my doctors involved, I stopped the medication and entered a part of the journey people do not talk about nearly enough: life afterward.

One small part of my real-life reset—shared as personal experience, not a promise of results.
The hardest part was not simply hunger returning. It was feeling as if my body had turned the volume all the way back up.

Weight regain did not mean I had failed

When the cravings returned and my weight began climbing, shame tried to join the conversation. I had to remind myself that a changing appetite is not a character flaw. It is information. My job was to respond with a plan, not punishment.

For me, that meant returning to basic habits I could repeat: protein at meals, ordinary food, walking, strength-building, better sleep when possible, and conversations with my healthcare team. I also explored non-injection wellness products only after discussing them with my doctors.

What I focus on now

If you are considering stopping a GLP-1

Please do not make that decision from a social-media post—mine or anyone else’s. Talk with the clinician who prescribed it. Ask what to expect, whether tapering is appropriate for your situation, how your blood sugar should be monitored, and what support is available if appetite or weight changes.

A clear line: I share my experience to help women feel less alone. I do not claim that the products I use replace prescription medication or treat menopause, diabetes, obesity, or any other condition.

This reset is still being written

I have not arrived at some magical finish line. I am building a life I can actually live—one plate, one walk, one honest choice, and one prayer at a time. If that is where you are too, pull up a chair. There is room here for both of us.
